Every Quilt Has a Story Worth Sharing
Over the years, I've had the privilege of quilting so many beautiful quilts, each with its own special story. Some celebrate treasured friendships, others mark meaningful occasions, and many are stitched with love for someone special.
Take a look below at just a few of these quilts and the stories behind them. As new quilts find their way into my quilting studio, there will always be more stories to share!

01
Flowers For My Wedding Ring
This beautiful quilt was lovingly created by Cheryl Evans, a dear quilting friend whose beauty shines from the inside out. Cheryl approaches every quilt as a new challenge, embracing the precision of piecing and the joy of cutting fabric apart only to bring it back together into something extraordinary.
Her generous heart shines through the charity quilts and thoughtful gifts she creates for family and friends. Many of her quilts remain in her home, where she can admire and cherish what she has accomplished.
Cheryl is truly a light in the darkness, and every quilt she creates reflects her creativity, dedication, and love of quilting.

Hocus Pocus - Jessica's Harvest Quilt
Donna lovingly created this beautiful harvest quilt for her daughter, Jessica, who has always wanted a quilt for each holiday. With her generous heart and gifted hands, Donna creates quilts for family, friends, and charity, sharing her love through every stitch.
This quilt is another special addition to Jessica's holiday collection, made to be brought out, cherished, and enjoyed for years to come.
I had the pleasure of longarm quilting it with the design Deb's Pumpkin Patch, using a soft light cream thread to complement its autumn colors.
Some gifts are made with fabric and thread, but the ones we treasure most are stitched together with love.

Scrambled Passage
Scrambled Passage — A Mother-Daughter Memory
In May 2009, my daughter Kaila and I designed Scrambled Passage together using Electric Quilt 6 (EQ6) for a shop hop at my quilt shop.
What makes this quilt so special isn't just the pattern we created, but the wonderful memories we made along the way. We shared ideas, worked together, and had so much fun bringing our design to life.
All these years later, Scrambled Passage reminds me of a special time when my daughter and I shared our creativity, our love of quilting, and the joy of making something together.
Some quilts hold memories that are just as beautiful as the fabric they're made from.

Sampler Quilt — Quilt of Valor
This special Sampler Quilt was lovingly created by our Threadheads quilting group as a Quilt of Valor to honor a veteran for their service to our country.
Each block represents the time, care, and creativity of the hands that helped bring this quilt together. Working as a group, we shared not only our love of quilting but also our heartfelt appreciation for those who have served.
A Quilt of Valor is more than fabric and stitches. It is a way of saying thank you and wrapping a veteran in warmth, gratitude, and love.
Many hands, one quilt, and one very special purpose. ❤️🤍💙

One Sky
One Sky — A Quilt by Cheryl Evans
One Sky was lovingly pieced by my dear friend Cheryl Evans, a wonderfully talented quilter who never shies away from a challenge. Cheryl approaches every quilt with patience, precision, and an incredible eye for detail.
This quilt was especially meaningful because Cheryl made it for herself. So often, she shares her talents through quilts for family, friends, and charity. One Sky is a beautiful reminder that sometimes a quilter deserves to create something special just for the joy of keeping it.
Every carefully pieced seam reflects Cheryl's dedication to her craft and the pride she takes in creating something beautiful.

Checkerboard Quilt
Checkerboard Quilt — A Friendship in Fabric
Sometimes the best quilting memories begin with a little fabric shopping and a wonderful friend!
My dear friend Cheryl Evans and I both fell in love with the same beautiful 1930s reproduction fabrics. After purchasing our fabrics, we set out to find just the right pattern to showcase them. We discovered the Checkerboard Quilt pattern in Lori Holt's book Scrappiness Is Happiness, and our quilting adventure began!
We each created our own quilt using the same fabrics and pattern, sharing the fun and excitement along the way. Both quilts turned out beautifully, each a reflection of our love for quilting and the special friendship we share.
Two friends, two quilts, and memories stitched together with laughter, creativity, and love.

Go Owl Out — A Little Whimsy and a Lot of Joy
Sometimes a quilt begins simply because you fall in love with the fabric!
Go Owl Out is a quilt I made for the pure joy of creating. I've always loved owls, and when I saw the playful designs, beautiful colors, and whimsical personality of these fabrics, I knew they were meant to become a quilt.
From the cheerful colors to the delightful owls, everything about this quilt makes me smile. It was such fun bringing all those fabrics together into something special.
Not every quilt needs a special occasion. Sometimes the best reason to make a quilt is simply because it makes your heart happy!

Feathered Friendship Stars
Feathered Friendship Stars — Quilting Together for a Special Purpose
There's something wonderful about quilters coming together to create something beautiful!
Feathered Friendship Stars was lovingly pieced by Karen Jones and several talented ladies from her quilt guild. Working together, they created this beautiful quilt to be raffled in support of their guild.
I had the pleasure of adding the finishing touch through longarm quilting, using the Bastille edge-to-edge pantograph from Urban Elements. The quilting design complemented their beautiful piecing and brought the quilt together.
This quilt is a lovely example of the friendships, generosity, and shared creativity that make the quilting community so special.
Many hands, beautiful stitches, and a shared love of quilting!

Feathered Friendship Stars — Quilting Detail
The Beauty Is in the Quilting Details
A closer look at Feathered Friendship Stars, beautifully pieced by Karen Jones and members of her quilt guild for their guild raffle.
For the longarm quilting, I selected Bastille, an edge-to-edge pantograph from Urban Elements. This design adds beautiful texture and movement while complementing the intricate piecing.
One of my favorite parts of longarm quilting is choosing a design that enhances the quilt without taking away from the hard work of the quilt makers.
Every quilt has its own personality, and the right quilting design helps bring that personality to life!

Little Crosses — Stitched with Faith and Love
Some quilts are beautiful not only because of their fabrics and patterns, but because of what they represent.
Little Crosses was lovingly pieced by my dear friend Cheryl Evans, a talented quilter whose patience, precision, and attention to detail shine through in everything she creates.
Cheryl chose this pattern because of her Christian faith and her love for Jesus. Each little cross is a meaningful reminder of the faith she holds dear.
Made especially for herself, this quilt is more than a beautiful creation. It is a personal expression of faith, love, and the joy of quilting.
Sometimes the most meaningful quilts are the ones that reflect what's in our hearts. ❤️
